Privacy Policy
Canopy Insurance Partners Boise, Idaho | canopyinsurancepartners.com Effective date: October 28, 2026
The short version
Canopy Insurance Partners ("Canopy," "we," "us") is an insurance agency run by Michael Beal, a licensed insurance agent (NPN 19323363). We help people understand their Medicare options. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, watch our masterclass, register, or book a call, and what we do with it.
We use your information to contact you about Medicare plan options and to run your appointment. We don't sell it.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
What we collect
What you give us:
- Name, email address and ZIP code
- Birth month (we use it to time Medicare enrollment reminders)
- Phone number, if you give it
- Your text and call consent choices
- What you want to talk about (Medicare Advantage, Part D, Medicare Supplement, or not sure)
- Appointment details, and your signed Scope of Appointment form
- Anything you share with us on a call or in a message, such as your doctors, your prescriptions and your current coverage
What we collect automatically:
- Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and how you got to our site
- Cookies and similar technologies, described below
Cookies, the Meta pixel and conversion tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to make pages work and to measure how our ads and pages perform. This includes the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel and Meta conversion tracking. These tools tell us when someone visits a page or completes an action, such as registering or booking, and help us see which ads led there. They may also send certain contact details, such as an email address or phone number, in a scrambled (hashed) form to Meta so it can match an action to an account.
We don't intend to send Meta the health details you share with us, such as your doctors or prescriptions.
You can limit this. Use your browser's cookie settings, turn off ad personalization in your Meta account settings, or use a browser tool that blocks trackers. Doing so won't stop you from using our site.
How we use your information
- To contact you about Medicare plan options. A licensed insurance agent will contact you by phone, email, and text if you chose to receive texts.
- To schedule your appointment, send confirmations and reminders, and send your Scope of Appointment form.
- To send you educational information about Medicare, including enrollment reminders based on your birth month. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To run, secure and improve our website and our ads.
- To keep the records that Medicare rules and the law require.
Who we share it with
Service providers. Companies that help us run the business, such as our customer relationship management (CRM) system, email and text delivery, appointment scheduling, call recording and website hosting. They may use your information only to do that work for us.
Our contracted marketing organization. We're a licensed agent working under a contract with a larger insurance marketing organization, and we may share your information with them as the contract and Medicare rules require.
Insurance carriers, only if you apply. If you decide to apply for or enroll in a plan, we share what's needed for that application with the carrier. We don't do this otherwise.
Legal and regulatory. We may disclose information when the law requires it, for example to respond to a regulator, a court order or a Medicare audit, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Advertising platforms. As described above, our pixel and conversion tracking involves Meta.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the consent box on our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Michael at Canopy Insurance Partners. The program is called "Canopy Medicare appointment updates."
- We send appointment confirmations, reminders, and links to forms needed for your appointment. Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You'll get one confirming text and then no more.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at [PRIVACY_EMAIL].
- Consent to texts is optional. You can book a call without it, and it's never a condition of getting help or buying anything.
- Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Call recording notice
Our Medicare calls are recorded, and we tell you at the start of the call. We record them to meet Medicare requirements and to keep an accurate record of what we discussed. If you continue the call after the notice, you agree to the recording. If you don't want to be recorded, tell us at the start of the call, and we'll point you to Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP), where you can get help without a recorded call.
Your choices
- Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Calls: tell us to stop calling and we'll add you to our do-not-contact list.
- Access, correction or deletion: email [PRIVACY_EMAIL]. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Some records can't be deleted until the legal retention period ends (see below).
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have extra rights over your personal information, such as the right to know, access, correct or delete it. Email [PRIVACY_EMAIL] and we'll work with you.
How long we keep information
We keep your information as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Medicare records are kept as required by law. That includes 10 years for Scope of Appointment records, and call recordings for as long as Medicare rules require. This applies even if you unsubscribe, no-show or cancel. Unsubscribing stops our messages. It doesn't erase records we're required to keep.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, such as access controls and encrypted connections, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Please don't send Social Security numbers, bank details, or Medicare numbers by email or text. If we need them, we'll collect them on a recorded call or a secure form.
Children
Our site is for adults who are eligible for or are researching Medicare. It isn't directed to children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Links to other sites
Our pages may link to other sites, like Medicare.gov. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their privacy practices.
Not a government site
Canopy Insurance Partners is not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the update here and change the effective date.
